I like it. Improvement from the prequels

I think I can remember the second one of this set. This one was a lot better. But like biggyd777 said, the sound selection was a bit screwy. But aside from the sound, the possiblilities are endless when trying to make a gun. I'm hoping you've seen 'Future Weapons' on the Discovery Channel, because I don't exactly remember seeing some of those featured guns on here. If there's a version 4 coming out, see if you can get even more creative and make even MORE parts. So overall, good.

lol i love future weapons (that show) thanks for the great review!

Same ol' same ol' but still nice

For a simplistic mouse avoider game, that wasn't half bad. The music was very nice, the fifth level was where things really started to pick up and you were able to keep players from cheating their way through the levels. The bad sides were that the level designs were simplistic and the spelling of 'lose' was off. You should still stick with this theme in the future and see if you can make something that has better-looking levels. Overall, good game.

Every review has said i spealt lose wrong. Im working on mouse avoider 2 as this game was enjoyable to make and to come up with the ideas for.

Needs more to it, but still not bad

This game idea and layout are good, but there's not much else. If there was sound and levels in this game, this would be a lot cooler. The tanks look good but you'll still probably leave others wondering "Why can't all the tanks just fire large explosives?". But the idea of having them charge at the castle with stuff like spears is better than just having them shoot from long range. The castles and units also looked good in terms of graphics. I won't mind about the bolt idea as I can tell that you want some people to have a challenge while others just want it easy. So this game seems incomplete to me but it's a great first step to actual completion.

Over-Kill responds:

Thanks for the respectable review. Sounds are so hard to get now a days without people going oh you got it from flashkit or oh you got it from this site and this site. The sounds are far too over used. I can still try and get some good ones though.
Yeah we went away from the shooting for the tanks because then you'd just have an army here and another there and a ton of shots firing back and forth.

Generic but better

There have been many not-very-great Christmas tree dressups lately. This one breaks off from the rest of the bunch. Sure, it still has about the same stuff and not a lot of it compared to the other tree dressups but these looked a lot better. The tree looked a bit better too. There was also one more thing those other guys didn't have: good music. While they chose Christmassy themes, you had to be a rebel and go with a rocking tune. So all in all, not extremely fun but still better than the other dressup trees. Worth protecting.

elem593 responds:

thanks we thought about the christmas music but for a little change we decided a differnt kind of music because some people maybe dont like that kind of music who knows

Fast paced and a nice idea

For a game in which all you needed was the mouse button, it was fun for about 40 seconds. Eating the cookies was a real chore as trying it over and over again would make any wrist sore. Although I felt like there should've been more events in this, particularly something that involved flying reindeer somewhere. Also, I'm not sure if it was my computer, but the music wouldn't play when I started. Volume up and everything. Glitch perhaps? If you could fix that, then this can be a really good Christmas game!

Great first review.
I've been planning on more games from the start, but I wasn't able to complete them in time for the dead line. The music was supposed to start right when you came to the men, but it got messed up some how and I wasn't able to fix it.

Thanks for the review.

Just what I may need

I really need to keep this in mind, as I have a few ideas for some sprite movies. At first I didn't know how, but thanks to you, I do! It had some very well in-depth steps on how to make your own custom sprite from yourself or by simply changing the colors of existing sprites. The intro was funny too, as you got owned by MK characters, especially when one tried to 0 your movie. The only real ugly thing I found in that was the victory voices. The "Scorpion wins" voice and especially the "blamality" voice. So if that could be fixed up a bit, it would help in making your intro a bit better.

Osuka responds:

Thankx for the review, i need to work more on the audio part.

I hope you can make a awesome sprite movie

Got him in more than one way

It would be a fun little way to wish someone a merry christmas with this. Also, there is more than one way to dunk him, I discovered. But you all can figure it out for yourselves. What I liked about this was the creativity in how you can dunk him into the giant bowl of water and how it's not entirely straight forward. What I noticed was a little iffy was that Santa's voice was a bit low that I could barely hear him. So good job overall despite what I noticed was a little bad with this. Have you ever tried sending this to anyone you know if you call this an e-card?

starBastet responds:

hmm...santa's voice is loud as heck on my machine...anyone else?
this eCard was sent out to thousands of clients, though in testing this on newgrounds it appears something about the php access is disabled...

(thx for reminding me about the 2 ways!)

Loved the smiley button

This was great. The smiley button was the best button of all, as you can read in the title. But as some have noticed, there were a few bugs with the music selection (although it was a great choice for a song). Plus, a bit more of selections would be nice if you were to redo this and make it better. I'd love to see it if it turns out!

Spiffy-23 responds:

thanks! yeah, for some reason i can't get it to loop correctly, and I'll turn down the volume so it's not so scratchy. When i end up redoing it, i hope to have a health meter, too :D

Not bad but a bit low on quality

I noticed a lot by looking at this. And I can say that a lot of the jokes here are original, not including the San Andreas one. Except this didn't have a lot of the basic things the real windows has like MS paint and Minesweeper.

Also, looking at where the date and time icons normally are, I noticed something down there: 95.5 PLJ. Do you live in NJ?

nIcO-gR responds:

yeah.....

Wow. Pretty good.

At first it seemed a little obvious on what to do but as for the other colored missiles, I didn't see any specific instructions as to how to take those out of the sky. Also, just to type certain numbers to blast away missiles seems a little easy. Why not have the same number codes but you actually fire with the mouse? That would seem a little better. But yeah, this game was nowhere near bad at all.

MaxManning responds:

Thanks, I actually have been working on a mouse version of this that is kind of more like Missile Command. You'll fire at spots on the screen and if the missiles enter the blast area, they are destroyed.

Yeah, that pretty much describes my room
